Column van sjofarexpert Michael Chusid

Michael Chusid heeft drie boeken over de sjofar geschreven en beheert een website met een enorme hoeveelheid informatie. In de synagoge Makom Ohr Shalom in Los Angeles heeft Chusid de officiele functie van sjofarblazer.

Via een vertaalprogramma heeft Chusid het boek ‘Als de ramshoorn schalt‘ bestudeerd en er een uitgebreide column over geschreven:

‘……He writes with sensitivity and respect for the Jewish traditions and teachings about shofar, then explains them in Christian terms………Indeed, the most important legacy of his scholarship may be the accurate translation of shofar in future Dutch Bibles and a better understanding of the ram’s horn that is shared by his faith and mine.’
